Citation of Special Achievement

The Department of Economics provides the opportunity to earn a Citation of Achievement through additional course work and classroom performance. Students graduating in 2007 can earn citations under the pre-July 2006 rules.

  • Citation in Economic Theory and Application
This Citation is designed for the student who wishes to obtain a broad perspective on the field of Economics. Any of the elective economics courses can be combined to fulfill this Citation. However, to provide students with sufficient breadth, one additional course is required.

The requirements for a Citation of Special Achievement are the following:

    1. You must have a 3.3 GPA in economics courses.

    2. To earn a Citation you must take one additional elective beyond the concentration requirements.

    3. You should submit an application for the Citation in your senior year no later than March 1st.

After meeting the requirements, you will receive a formal Citation along with your diploma at graduation. The receipt of this Citation can be cited on your resume.
