Welcome to the Department of Economics at the University of Rochester, one of the world's leading institutions for studying modern economics. Since the inception of its PhD program in the late 1950's, Rochester has provided rigorous analytic training to students from around the world. - January 13, 2015: Congraduations to Prof. Michaels for receiving the best paper prize from American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics for his recent article: "Marginal Jobs, Heterogeneous Firms, and Unemployment Flows" (joint with Michael W. L. Elsby).
